From Sat to Chef's
« on: December 07, 2014, 08:42:26 AM »
The former Sat restaurant  as of last week is now called Chef's. Apparently the new owner/chef is passionate about food and aims to make it one of the top eating experiences in the area. It sounds all very interesting, we shall have to wait and see if he can deliver...

Well it's certainly a fabulous location, it could be amazing if the food is right and the prices aren't too ridiculous!   ;)

Agree Lottie, if the food is good and not a hit or miss as it was before, it would be a great place to eat

Echo all the above.  Have always loved it there, the location is fabulous.  If the food, and service, are to be impoved then it should be well worth trying again next year.

Well this will be interesting to see if they can improve the Sat.  My own experience of the place is different to the other comments above, I found the food average but expensive, and the service was what I can only describe as both arrogant and indifferent.

Dined at Chef on Saturday. It was a bit like a ghost town with one other table occupied in the large room. The food was one of the best meals I've had for ages, the prices reasonable and the service excellent.
Will be going again.

Great news, I'm looking  forward to going there, like everyone else we found it had gone down hill over recent years, which was a great shame.

Not a lot to do to improve it IMO. Over priced and over rated.

But a great position.
