Guvens fabulous
« on: July 05, 2015, 14:32:22 PM »
Without a doubt our best days out and the one evening we went for dinner were spent at Guvens, such friendly and welcoming staff, plenty of sunbeds and no hassle what so ever from any staff to order drinks etc...food was always consistent and good prices for a cheap and cheerful lunch...

I highly recommend the salmon dish which I had one evening made a nice change to the run of the mill meals...
Defo our fave place to properly be able to relax and chill out.  :)

We've been visiting Guvens for years and whilst Carol always comes and says hello she is yet to recognise us from previous visits so, I am always amazed when everyone seems to receive such a warm welcome.
We do love it there though so wouldn't let such a trivial thing put us off

Too much dogs mess on the beach when we went. Food was ok though and me and my son enjoyed their table tennis and pool tables.

We spent a few very nice half days here whilst we were on holiday in June.
so nice and clean , carpets from the steps almost down to the water/ and some sunbeds.
the larger pebbles put in a strip were far better to walk on as well, a godsend for me to hobble along with my walking sticks, the new bar is great likewise the wrist bands they give you so you can pay when you go..
The food was also very good and cheaper than most places
OH well done Carol for taking me back in her & Govens car to the Oykun each of my visits F O C.
Ron

We always go a few times during our hols. Guven was a huge help when my mate, Jim and I were sent to buy our place 13 years ago. He just had a small bar back then and it's been great to see how things have changed for him over the years - Carole being the biggest change of all for him I guess ;-)

We will be back to check out the improvements next month and as always we will get a great welcome from a lovely couple.

Well that's my first free Efes sorted  ;)

Where is Guvens please?  It sounds lovely and, although, this is our 5th year in Calis have never been there.  Thanks.

If you walk along the front with the sea on your left then keep going until you reach the bend in the prom. At that point go straight on rather than around the bend. Walk about 100yds and Guven's is there.
