Pay pal account
« on: December 01, 2016, 13:19:03 PM »
Is it worth my while opening a pay pal account? I usually use my debit account to transfer money. Any info/help would be appreciated.

Thanks DonM

I is handy to pay money to Charities or even if you buy something online you can pay with Paypal. It is used around the world.

I have a pay pal account linked to a current bank account which is only used for that purpose. I only have a small balance available with no overdraft facility. If I need to donate or make a purchase, I transfer money into the account to cover and if the pay pal account ever gets hacked there is always only a very small amount available to be stolen.   :)

Same here Sadler. I transfer funds as required from our main account into my secondary account. It rarely has more than £10 on deposit - so if hacked I won't lose much. I then have this account linked to my PayPal account.

Works a treat.

Thanks for all the input, I don't want to open another bank account as I wont have a lot of use for a pay pal account.

I have never used a second bank account, I have a credit card lodged with Paypal.   Have done for years.

No problem with that, just another route in for hackers.  :)
