Kurban Bayramı in Turkey in 2019
« on: August 06, 2019, 17:42:35 PM »
Remember that the Kurban Bayramı Holiday begins officially on Sunday. I suspect there's a good chance that some government establishments and banks will close at midday on Friday.

As the holiday runs through to Thursday 15th there's a good chance that many will also take Friday the 16th off and that 'normal services' won't be resumed until Monday 19th August.

Not sure government establishments will shut at midday on Friday, nothing been said. First day of Kurban Bayram is Sunday, so last day should be Wednesday. Though it was expected that the whole week would be declared a holiday, nothing has been said about this either, so far. Going to pay water this week so will ask there. Some banks were open on the Monday before and the Friday after the last Bayram, after Ramadan.

Wait for them to announce it at 11am on Friday.  ;)
