Tourism down ?
« on: July 13, 2011, 21:31:26 PM »

An article in todays paper stated that tourism is down in Egypt and Turkey. When we visited Calis in June it seemed quite busy, and most of the  restaurants had customers in.If you have just returned home what is your opinion.

Incidently my workmate has just returned from Lanzarote and was surprised how quiet it was out there, only a few people in some bars and eating places.Apparantly the resorts will not lower their prices like other islands in the Canaries.

Are these articles propaganda to encourage  hols in the Eurozone  ;)

Same up the mountain Geoff, loads of people (Turkish) not spending in the bars and restaurants though, does not look good.
