Title: Amazing New Offer from Hive (Heating & Electricity) App
Post by: Scunner on September 03, 2017, 21:09:19 PM
We had our new boiler put in earlier this year, it has 'Hive' which is the control system but a few bells and whistles, such as being able to put your heating on from your car as you approach home from being away.

You can add other stuff to Hive - I bought a light bulb which you can switch on or off from Calis Plaji (other beachfronts are available) - and set it to come on and off automatically each night. But on and off just 3 times each 24 hours.

An update to the app, I always check "What's New" - and wow, what is new is the lightbulb will go on and off independently all evening, you don't even need to program it, they do it all.

So I updated the App. Random feature? £5.99 a month!!

:( - no thanks

I know, it was me that suggested the cupboard under the stairs would suit you.  Happened to mention it to some scruffy burd in a greasy spoon in Edinburgh, the rest is history...

I'd pay £5.99 for an app that allowed me to turn lights on and off in Scunner's house. I'd rent it out to other CBFers and it would pay for itself.
