Title: Best restaurants in Kayakoy
Post by: shuttle on August 28, 2015, 09:26:34 AM
Good morning,

Though I pass through Kayakoy on every visit I have never stopped for a meal. So for the best restaurants to spend an evening at would be appreciated. Want everything of course, good food, great service,
lovely romantic setting.
Thanks in advance

We had lunch at the Izela Restaurant today.  Really nice place and lovely food great setting.  We noted they have villa's for rent and also rooms.   Will definitely go again.

I had a birthday meal there in August. The food, service and setting is excellent. They have a very good singer on on a Wednesday at present. Well worth a visit.

Izela, beautiful setting, great food and service, plus on some nights they have live entertainment.  They have a facebook page.
(By the way, I am such a fan as my younger daughter had her wedding there and even my somewhat fussy Turkish family could not find fault.)

We had thought of going one evening, but there are only a few parking spaces and we wondered where you would park if the car park was full, it would be a long walk down to the main road.
Had the mezes for two yesterday, really lovely, enjoyed the hot cheese ones too.

Also absolutely love the Blue Butterfly.
Don't go if you're in a hurry as all the food is freshly prepared from scratch, but it is worth the wait - especially their chicken curry, which isn't at all hot but absolutely full of flavour, or the lamb tagine.

It's a very quirky, relaxed setting with lovely views across the valley (while it's light).
Hamid and Dilek - he is Moroccan, she is Turkish - are the most lovely couple you could meet.

They also do a Cake of the Day, which is always a good thing in my book!  ;D
