There are many people like myself playing golf today that would never have played but for the great man. He made the game look fun. Smack it into the car park and play a miraculous shot to save par.

Most of all he was the guy that convinced Europeans they could beat the Yanks in their own backyard.Watching some of the previous Masters and when Seve won it for the first time i had forgotten what a gifted player he was.

I hope he makes a full recovery and has many more birthdays in the future.

Post by: posleeds on April 10, 2011, 09:42:10 AM: I watched a documentary on him a few years ago in the UK.....he has had such a succesful golfing career but tragic personal life... he came accross as a lovely man & so humble with it - it made you want to give him a big hug - bless him!

PLayers of his like (in any sport),with his respect of his game, his opponents & it seems everyone who knew him do not grow on trees. An absolute one off. R.I.P.
