I select "NOTIFY" , but I do not get any notification e-mail. I had no problem getting notifications at the former forum.
Any suggestions ? - ( my e-mail address at my profile is correct ).
-
The notify facility (subscribe to topic as it was called in the old CBF) is working fine for me. I note you also had a problem receiving the password email libra? I'll do some thinking about this and ask the other admins - to see if we can come up with something to solve it.
-
I set it up on this page and can confirm I am getting the emails fine. Perhaps the emails are being moved to your spam folder?
-
Yes Scunner , I did not receive any password e-mail.
Nothing in the spam folder Steven.
-
Do you receive this notification? (I adjusted your settings slightly)
-
Yes , thank you , it worked now.
-
For anyone else reading this, if you want notification by email of new posts for selected chosen topics to work you need to check your profile settings (notification area)
-
Just to add I did select to be notified about posts to one topic and I have not received any emails either.
I have checked my spam box and settings; apart from checking my email address which is there I was not sure what else if anything I should be looking for.
Thanks

Follow the instructions to change your profile that I gave above and it should start working
-
Sorry but I can not see anything that indicates it is the notification area :(

What happens when you click on this link?

To use Notify (the old "Subscribe to topic" ;) you need to do a quick check - click profile (above) then check your Notification settings thus:

:)

Thanks - I didn't realise I had to click on modify profile first to bring up the options.
-
It's a pain as everyone's notify is switched OFF as default - more sensible would be ON so you had the option and the option to switch it off. The member profiles on here are much, much more comprehensive Nichola - not the one page jobbie of before. Hopefully with a few graphical walk throughs like the photo above it will become second nature sooner :)
-
Yes, thanks Keith- I have had a wander around now and made a few adjustments :)

Once you see the "modify profile" section there's plenty fun to be had under it :)
