Operation must use an updateable query
« on: April 07, 2009, 02:51:37 AM »
Hi Scunner
Within the 'Sunset' thread when I try to reply to a thread I get the following error:

'There has been a problem!

There was an error = Operation must use an updateable query.

Go back to correct the problem.'

Now seems that - although I got the error - the replies have gone thro - will you delete the repeated messages

Thanks and regards

Bob

It's easy enough to do yourself Bob, just go back to it, it says delete in the icons in in the box of the author, just click on that. Alan

That's normal with a new problem I think.

This website has become so big and it's now starting to show signs of the strain. The newest problem is this problem/error message, we have had the problem with posts jumping into another section if the original poster makes an edit, and we had to do away with the subscribe to topic facility (where you would automatically receive an email if somebody replied to a topic) a long while back.

The recent problems (CBF not being available, caused by the hosting company that bought out the original CBF hosting company) has got us to decide that this boat can't be patched up anymore, we'll get a shiny new boat :D

When that happens, you won't see lots of new features or a new look, it will look the same and probably have less features. This is because the CB forum has been modified many times and a fresh start means they will all need to be put in again. What it will have that we currently don't is the ability to work without all these silly little irritations.
