Can any one offer me any advice please re my ipad... I started a software update about 9am today as I kept getting a message saying I needed to upgrade to 8.3 or something like that in order to access certain apps...
Anyway all seemed to be going well until the end of the upgrade when the apple icon came up on the screen followed by a longish very thin bar, this bar filled up once and then went back to the same screen only this time the bar has been stuck looking full all but a tiny part of it for about two hours now, I have tried switching it off but I cant do anything at all with it!
Really grateful for any suggestions thanks very much :)

Try a reset by holding lock button and home button in for a few seconds

If Steve's advice doesn't work try plugging it into your PC or laptop and click on itunes.

I had to phone Apple in the end as I just couldn't do anything with it,it was a simple case off holding two buttons together the power button and the one where it goes to sleep ( they are probably the two you said Steve) apparantly it is a common problem that the iPad sometimes freezes during an upgrade...
The only thing since the upgrade is I can only access Facebook via Safari and when I do the font is tiny I can hardly read it even with my glasses on! 8)

Try downloading your Facebook app again from the App Store.
