New internet connection

Got offered a free upgrade from VM - was a bit dubious about their claims and was pleasantly surprised at this:

I'm actually a little bit disappointed with the above result, I was getting 175Mb/s yesterday :(

That's some tasty speed John.  My daughter lives in a new build in Woolwich, and she has got a direct fibre service and her wi-fi runs at 400mbps.  She could have more if she wants, but she finds that the 400 does the job  ;)

It is fast, but as I'm sure you well know, once you get over a certain speed it doesn't make any noticeable difference with day to day browsing.  In fact, as most of our connections are wireless no-one other than me (wired connection) really sees the increased speed as it stands, bearing in mind we were getting 60Mb/s previously.

It is seriously cool for downloading when you have multiple connections open though  ;)
