Well it is quite a gamble - losing £4.99 when there was only a fiver or a penny left is neither here nor there, but the offer when the two boxes left are £250,000 and £35,000 would be in the region of £80,000 - not many are brave enough to risk £45,000 (£80,000 - £35,000) in pursuit of an extra £170,000. I think it's worth the gamble as you still guaranteed to get £35,000 but when the £80,000 is yours for the taking just by saying "deal", it can't be easy
Also, the risk gets harder when the 2nd box is a low one - £250,000 and 10p would take a brave soul to go past the last banker offer [
