Dingwall flooding
« Reply #10 on: December 10, 2011, 14:24:12 PM »
My hubby is in the garden right now, picking up the matchsticks that WAS our fence. Hurrcane "Bawbag". as it's been dubbed, completely decimated it.
It was my home town of Helensburgh that the BBC news covered and I've never seen anything like it.
I drove along the seafront earlier in the day to get photos of the giant waves and then tried again later, but seafront was flooded.
I'm by no means a lightweight and I was getting blown away by the wind! That's a no mean feat, but it was so difficult to try and stand still or walk at my owm pace.
Hey ho, it's winter in Scotland and the upside of that is, there's plenty snow on them there hills. Skis waxed, thermals looked all and ready to go!!!
