Should have stayed on at school!
« on: June 18, 2012, 21:18:50 PM »
These are genuine, taken from a buy and sell forum that I'm a member of.
It's sad and abominable actually.

"need chester drawers as my other ones have broke"
"Brown dimontee back pockets and blue jeans size 18"
"Wedding tiara worn once , dimontee and perls"
"Ment what your add"
"sorry a just sold it"
And that's not including the ones who've posted in text speak.

Toky, you think that is bad.  Read this which is on a T.A. Forum.  This is in reply to someone asking if 5 years old was too young to take on a jeep Safari.

"I took my 2 year old daughter on the jeep safari as I didn't no way 2 expect, as it was my first time.. The driver was brilliant he put me and my daughter in the front seat of the jeep so she cud b strapped in, and we watched every1 else getting soaked, and she joined in wiv the mud baths, I wud jus let the people who u book wiv no that I've got a little 1, and on the day let the driver no, but 5 year old nephew was Avin the time of his life soaking every1, I really wudnt worry."

lol Toky - I too am a member of another forum like the one you mention and I could not actually understand what was being said at all. I spent ages trying to work it out and decided it must be Google translate playing up   ;)

Yes I can read it no problem, but it doesn't make it right! It just highlights how clever the brain is.  And yes, IMHO, spelling is important. I do accept that people post in text speak, but "chester drawers"?????????? Come on, that's pathetic.
