Did you get your Annual this christmas?
« on: December 31, 2013, 15:27:28 PM »
Before you jump in with the funnies on only getting it at Christmas you should wait until I have explained the situation.

Which Annual was on your Christmas list?  For me it was either the Beano or The Victor, I'd never have got both!!  I was a fast reader and got through mine quickly, but my brother would get through his at a much slower pace, and I could never get him to swap Annuals before he had fully read his ... I do recall one Christmas giving him a swipe round the back of his head with my new Annual  to make him speed up.... didn't work he just went slower, and I got a clout from mum for my trouble .... great days!!

So what was your choice for Annual at Christmas, perhaps you still got one this Christmas?

I had a few friends called Jackie, Bluwise, but did you ever know anyone called Bunty?  It strikes me as a rather middle class, home counties, head girl at private school sort of name and therefore I knew no-one called Bunty.  :D

I do! I do! She was the little girl who lived in the pub. Bunty was 6 and actually quite ordinary except I thought she was special cos she lived above the big pub. Never met another though. I remember The School Friend comic too. Probably a few Buntys in there.
