Three years ago, as an 11 year old, child Y was diagnosed with leukaemia. She received treatment in Izmir &, after 2 years, the leukaemia was believed to be in remission.
About a year later, & now 14, the leukaemia came back & her doctor in Izmir reported that only bone marrow treatment could help her. A donor was located, but the cost of the treatment, after SGK input would be approx 8,000tl. Sadly, due to all the toing & froing to Izmir, her father's employer, whilst holding his job open & continuing to pay SGK on his behalf, was no longer in a position to pay his salary, so the family were unable to find the 8,000tl.
Therefore, the family went to FETAV for help & their application was passed to 3C's, who readily agreed to pay the 8,000tl necessary for the treatment to go ahead. Y had her treatment around 6 weeks ago & we are waiting to hear the outcome. As soon as we hear anything, rest assured that it will be passed on.
So, on behalf of child Y, very many thanks to anyone who has helped 3C's in any way

It's so good to hear how donations are used - makes such a difference to know how we're actually helping someone. Thanks so much for all your efforts over there. What a great job you do.

Lovely to hear this news and so glad the 3C's are there to help. Great to know just how the money aids children who really need it.

A heart warming story indeed.
It is however but one example of what the wonderful people at the 3C’s do throughout the year on a variety of fronts.
This is their reward for lots and lots of hard graft and yours for supporting them.
So well done Liz and all those at the 3C’s. :)

Fingers crossed for a successful outcome. Well done to 3cs as always.

We run a charity collection at work, in a country with similar values to Turkey. Giving money for treatment on deserving hospital cases had to stop as we were informed that any potential aftercare costs we would be liable.
Hopefully Child Y makes a recovery from this illness and congratulations to the 3c's in their generosity for deserving cases.
