When occasionally "socially confused", I have been known to venture onto the Karaoke stage.The numbers I usually "plump" for are;
Losing my Religion - REM (because I like it)
Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf (because I'm an old rocker !)
Hey Jude - Beatles (because the "outro" gets everybody singing )
Do you partake ? - And what's your favourites ? 8)

Only once have I been socially confused enough to sing with two others in Karaoke.I had been quite tired one night so had a red bull followed by Mateus Rose..(several) and was tempted to do my rendition of Tina Turner ..Simply the best.
Listening to Karaoke I love to hear
Losing my Religion - REM
Angel - Robbie Williams
Kingston Town - ???
-
I find Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" and Celine Dion's "My heart will go on" are the two karaoke songs that remind me that I am definitely in the wrong bar.

And I was so socially confused (we were on an all-inclusive holiday), I cannot remember what we sang.:(

Baz when he is socially confused like to sing? but I do like his rendition of Streets of London:D
-
I have a strategy when singing karaoke (I am awful at singing) - I go for a song that I know everyone will join in with and drown me out.
Living on a prayer - Bon Jovi.....

We could do a duet with Losing my Religion Heather :D - Kingston Town done by Lord Creator in 1970, but the one everybody remembers was covered in 1990 by UB40.

Nice try Valleyboy but nowadays I would be sleeping before I had enough drink to get me on a karaoke machine. I am a good backing singer...well back from the mike: :)

Or if the all male bar staff jump onto the bar dancing and singing to "I am what I am " !! :D

The Remer hotel has a decent karaoke set up in the garden bar, the drinks prices are reasonable and the snacks are very good. The karaoke is on most night from 9.30pm
