So it's Burns ???? night
« on: January 25, 2018, 22:49:33 PM »
I'm afraid this Bern hadn't a clue what it's about. I have had haggis, don't mind a wee dram, but it's not my tipple. Remember my mom used to say it's gonna be a broad black moonlit night the night..wether that's anything to do with burns night i don't know. I feel due to the ancestors I should know. We are Scots Irish or Irish Scots on the mammys side.

Go on then... ;D

Robert Burns... a misogynistic drunk by many accounts and Burns night is simply an excuse get rat arsed, eat haggis and celebrate his allegedly fantastic works.

Wouldn't worry B,  a lot of Scot's don't get it either.

For us in Wales the 25th is Saint Dwynwen's, which is the Welsh Valentine's Day. So it's more of a carpet burns night for us!

Lidl are doing a rather nice Haggis at 99p. Better than Aldi's.

They are cleaned, plucked, and the back legs have been removed.

According to the labels they are HimShe's and are fully trans  formed. Iv'e been looking out for Haggis eggs

to grow my own but can't find any despite searching all the hedgerows.     :(

Idiot - looking in the hedgerows, indeed.

Haggi (pl) have one leg shorter than the other. They are exclusively found on hillsides and the shorter/longer leg combination keeps them perfectly level; hence they are capable of extraordinary speed and therefore difficult to shoot.

But if that were the case, when purchasing a pair of Haggis legs one would be underweight, surely. !!

And i'm not an idiot. If they lay the eggs on the slopes then the eggs will roll downhill and end up where.??
In the hedgerows of course.   Now who's an idiot.     :P :P
