:D Hello everyone.... how are you all. Well I'm new to this site and everyone is so friendly and helpful. So I am just wondering if anyone know of any TURKISH LANGUAGE COURSES IN OR AROUND THE HASTINGS AREA....any advice would be very much appreciated. Unfortunately, the course in Brighton is a little too far for me ;)

Hi Joanne. I'm in Hastings as well and I cannot find any Turkish lessons in the area. I've tried out to Battle as well, but don't want to go further than that as I already commute into London for work. I'm using a linguaphone course at the moment and it's OK but slow going when you can't practice it!

Oh hi,
Well I too have the linguaphone course but it only teaches basic holiday/visit turkish. I need to learn from the begining which is what Im trying..... vowel harmony / suffix / tenses .... OHHHH THE LIST GOES ON.... I think I have cracked vowel harmony now (thank god) and am moving onto learning tenses now.... and sentence order... .WISH ME LUCK...I'M GOING TO NEED IT !!!! Oh and good luck to you too !

Oh well it's taken me 6 months to get this far hahahaha!!!

I'll let you know if I hear of anything starting up if you'll do the same for me?
I'm back out there again at the end of next week, so if I can persuade people to speak Turkish rather than English I may get some practice! But I do feel very self conscious, so I don't use it as often as I should anyway.

Oh yes, the self conscious feeling... I know it well. I shall keep my eyes open too and let you know if anything crops up. Have a great time when you go back... anyway, I find that even the smallest bit of turkish you speak out there... they appreciate it so much.

Drop me an email if you like - we can compare Turkish notes when I get back?
