Title: Self Indulgence pure and simple - you have been warned !!!

This is our new grand daughter Emma Jane.

The remarkable thing is that I believe the photo was taken when Emma was only 20 days old.

Brenda and I are, as you might imagine, so proud of her, as would have been her auntie Rachel.

Beautiful little girl H. We have 9 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. I am enjoying going broke very quickly. There is nothing like it! It's what makes life bearable through all the bad times. You enjoy every minute it passes so quickly.     :)

I agree with sadler though, grandchildren are an absolute joy.  Last year I lost my dad which was heartbreaking obviously but we also had another grandson born in August which gave us all so much to smile and be grateful for.   We  have another one due in a couple of weeks time out in New Zealand, but will be going out there end of March to see them all   ;D

Why shouldn't we show off our grandchildren, they're all gorgeous  :)

I can't wait until my youngest one arrives from New Zealand in 5 weeks time (with his mum and dad of course!) and I have all three of mine together for the first time.  I'll be taking photos like they're going out of fashion!  ;D  ;)

She has inherited my blue eyes, and so does my other granddaughter, which neither of my two daughters (their mothers) did, and their husbands are brown-eyed as well. I never managed to get the hang of Mendelian dominant/recessive genetics where the blue eye gene can skip a generation and then come back again even if the brown eye gene is the dominant one.

Emma was watching Rob Brydon and Tom Jones - One Big Night for Children in Need and I don't think she meant Rob Brydon.

Tom Jones is 75 years old by the way  :(

Emma can be as angelic as she looks but, as with all kids, she can also be exasperating at times.

We are of course extremely proud of our granddaughter as we are of our grandson, Cameron (the one at the back), who gets more like his late mother by the day :(

A lively Christmas for you Marina. They bring so much joy. Mine are aged from 25 years to 3 weeks. My oldest granddaughter already has 3 little girls and is now expecting twins! She will have 5 under 5 years! Glad she lives a good distance away. Christmas and birthdays tend to be a bit pricey however, but worth it.   :)  :)

Our family reunion with the New Zealand branch now postponed until NEXT Christmas  :'(
Should have been April - cancelled!
This coming Christmas - cancelled!
Now, because of trying to match up NZ school holidays with UK school holidays for the two grandsons over here and because  we've still no idea how things will be by Easter next year, it will be next Christmas.  The longest we've ever gone without seeing them!

Emma looks quite the young lady and Lexi looks like she is full of mischief. I have a 26 year old,6'2,coastguard grandson who I am immensely proud of but I really miss the silly grandad/grandson things we used to do. Cherish them John,they grow up too quick.
