Hello folks. Any idea where we could hire, or buy (if necessary), or even borrow (that would appeal to the Scot in me!) a wheel chair next Tuesday for a couple of weeks? (Arriving Dalaman Monday 28th)

Liz 101, may sound daft but can you hire mobility scooters in Calis /Fethiye, as have friends coming out in Sept and were asking this question.
-

Not sure on this one, Acil Medikal, just by the pelican crossing on the back road, in Fethiye, would probably be you best bet

Liz 101, i will check it out in June, cheers
-
My mam always brings her mobility scooter and wheelchair with her, no charge,no hassle.
-
Thanks for that Steve, will pass it on.

I did read somewhere that someone had hired a mobility scooter in Fethiye. I recall that they complained that the pavements were very unsuitable with high kerbs and riding it on the roads was not a good idea.
-
That doesn't stop some people, I was driving down the M40 motorway near Beaconsfield last week and a woman was being escorted by a highway chap (yellow jacket) along the hard shoulder in her mobility scooter - going the WRONG way!! :o

Jondo
Would you please let me know if you wish to hire the wheelchair for the next 2 weeks. I have had another request &, obviously, would like you to have first dibs. Many thanks

when we take Mam out she does have to watch some of the kerbs but we are usually there to help her. Also as you will know there is no shortage of help in shops and restaurants.we have the wheelchair as well as the mobility scooter as some time as we want to go further afield and the wheelchair folds up so can go in a car or taxi

Sorry Liz 101, rude of me not to check back but we flew out then and an old i-phone is not the best thing to use for forums. We found one at the hotel but actually never got to use it! Cries of 'fraud', but it was handy to know it was there. Many thanks for your offer, I hope you weren't too put out.

No probs Jondo, when you hadn't got back to me after I knew you were here (if that makes sense) I assumed that you didn't require it, so let it go to the other enquirer
-
That makes perfect sense. You are truly gracious, Liz 101. Thanks for that.
