Puma --I think if you had an abscess for five days it would be visible without an xray.
From experience they are b****y painful and can cause swelling in affected area and do not disappear without treatment.
I believe you ;)

I had alot of  dental treatment done here, i always go through dental 1 holidays they took me to a fantastic dentist in fethiye.
The prices are brilliant and the staff and dentist are very friendly.
Now i always recommend dental 1 holidays even when my English friends come out they always have cheep and very good dental treatment with them.

Mydent in Carsi Street, are very good dentists and specialise in aesthetic dentistry.  They are great with nervous patients and I paid about 275lira for a crown to one of my front teeth that both my usual Turkish dentist and my English dentist had said could not be saved and a false tooth/bridge was needed.
Also above Citlembik (opposite the big cinema) is a great dentist, who is very cheap and her name is Seniz Olecek, she is on the first floor more or less opposite the lift.  We use her as a whole for check ups, standard fillings etc., and she is really gentle.

Ah interesting Puma this dentist told me that all the dentists in fethiye charged the same standard prices for treatment. I was discussing this with some of my Turkish friends up here in Istanbul and they said that is rubbish he is lying there is no national price list.

I have been going to Arif Arslan in Fethiye and I found him to be a very good dentist. His prices are excellent and he charges what the government recommends. I paid 330 TL for an extraction and some bridge work. This would have cost me over 500GBP in the UK. He speaks very good English. I would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone.

Two years ago I had six crowns fitted by a dentist in Koycegiz the cost was 600 TL.
Ok the price may have risen a little in two years but it would still be a lot cheaper than England or Fethiye.
I also had a tooth extracted some 3 months before the crown work and he charged me 10 TL, which included 2 check-ups.
