The waste pipes have a smaller bore than UK ones and more likely to block up if paper is put in the loo.Greece applies the same request re toilet paper viz put it in the bin.I hate it when some cheap toilet papers dissolve in your hand .

Having discussed this matter with Turkish friends in the past, their advise is to put the first, and dirtiest, wipe down the toilet and the rest into the bin. This lessens the chance of a blockage and reduces the smell in the bin.

Furthermore, although you may have wide-bore pipes in a new build, if you're not connected to mains sewerage but have a cess-pit, you want to put as little paper into it as possible and so reduce the amount of times it needs emptying.

:DKaya why dont you throw the forst bit at the passing quad bikes, seriously though all of the drains in Calis were renewed a couple of years ago now, so should be ok unless stated.

Yeh but if they did sell toilet paper that did that I wonder how many would buy it?

Now lets get serious[|)]. When we got our apartment with two smart toilet/shower rooms, I looked at the bogs and thought, "Why don't they put the cleaning nozzle at the front so the jet hits the spot which the flush doesn't clean[?][?]". Anyway, after about a year I learnt that the nozzle is to clean your ar*e, not the bowl. It's surprising how many people have not tried it or don't know about it. Believe me it's good, in fact it can be quite soothing, and whats more you only put wet instead of sh*tty bog paper in the bin. Whether you can flush paper or not, it is extremely civilised and hygienic.
