Yes, one restaurant owner told us that a lot are A.I and he said the people from Jiva Beach just walk passed and when asked if they want a meal etc., They just show their wrist bands.

History... A lovey town in Turkey, tourists start to come to a few local hotels, it gets busy, lots of restaurants open up and more B.&.B's are built.  Tourists eat at the local restauants  and enjoy the food.  Resort is thriving.   Then A.I.s open so tourists eat, swim and sleep in their A.I..  They enjoy the occasional visit to the town but spend no money.   Result. Restaurants close down, B&B's close, place become a ghost down.  Nowhere for the A.I people to go anymore, so they just stay behind the walls of their A.I's.  Is this the future for holidays??

Restaurants relatively busy - most half to three quarters full. That's Calis - Fethiye was dead during daytime. Duck Pond literally empty which is amazing for such a tourist trap. Address Bar was heaving during the day on Monday but that was very much the exception.

Any argument that AI kill a once busy resort would only hold any water if all the visitors that came before the AI's have now decided to stay in the AI instead of their usual hotels.

Somehow I doubt it if that is the case.

AI's change the tone of town for certain.

The guests must spend at least some money outside their hotels ( trips, souvenirs, the odd drink and meal) so they are not a total economic disaster but it's daft to suggest that AI's are totally to blame for any major down turn in visitor numbers to Calis hotels.

I'm sure when the school holidays start, it will get busy, don't know many
bar owners over the years who say business is great.
