Jeep Safari - Painful, Dangerous and Bloody Great Fun
« on: July 19, 2017, 18:10:55 PM »
In all our years of visiting Turkey we have never been on - or even wanted to be on - a Jeep Safari excursion. To me I think of fatalities, injuries and the like.

But a friend of a friend asked us to join them as they were going for a 50th birthday of their said friend. I know that it is much safer than the days of idiots not wearing seatbelts, standing up in the jeeps and firing high velocity water rifles into the faces of the driver.

Well I have to say we all had a fabulous day with Animal's Excursions - the zebra coloured transits. He's a funny guy and we had a well planned out day including visits to Yakapark, Saklikent etc. The kids absolutely loved it, I've rarely known them laugh quite so much in a day.

Some of the manoeuvres wouldn't be possible in the UK, and some of those water rifles bloody hurt but it's all good fun and I was feeling like being a bit irresponsible for a change.

Oh, and an amazing lunch included in the price :D

A few random photos - not too many as you get regularly soaked through so phones need to be well away
