Hi KKOB. It wasn't my intention to indicate that tourists would have an "expectation" to a cheaper price. I asked if the price increase applied to tourists because if the increase is a Turkish tax imposition, tourists may be allowed to purchase the medication at a price which would be lower than that which a resident would pay. As I'm sure you are aware, certain items in the UK can be purchased by tourists free from VAT, so a similar arrangement could exist in Turkey. I remember that I bought a watch when I was on holiday in Kusadasi about ten years ago and I was able to obtain a refund of tax at the customs office when I showed them the purchase documentation before returning to the UK.
