I wondered where members of the forum would consider a suitable hotel for a lady in her late sixties who although not disabled has to use a walking stick as an aid.She has never been to Turkey before and I would not like her to book anywhere that makes her stay a bad experience. Thanks for any replies.

I would definitely recommend the Mutlu - it is right on the prom, has a lift to all floors and you can request a room close to the lift. Everything is on one level on the ground floor - pool, breakfast, bar etc, there are no steps that I can recall. As an observation only, I have never seen such a high percentage of guests with walking difficulties/sticks etc in one hotel - so that must be an endorsement of my recommendation.

I'd second that and with the new bridge almost complete, it makes it much easier to get to the bus\dolmus route.
-
I doubt very much that someone who needs a walking stick would want to tackle the new bridge.

Not on the prom but the "new" Bostans had some ground floor rooms when I viewed earlier this yr. Fab grounds/garden/pool area which may suffice rather than being in the midst of slightly noisier Calis town.

Hmm, lets see, a short walk over a bridge with no steps, or a half a mile hike as an alternative...........
I know which option I'd choose.....:D

Mutlu -without question! Location, facilities and ambience- cant be beaten.

I was thinking of my mother(when she was alive) with her walking stick. There is no way she would have tackled the new 'ski jump':D
