It's  also piped to a few loadspeakers in Calis. There is one by the new German bakery we were sat there having coffe when it went off and it was impossible to talk the volume was so high. Wouldn't  mind usually but he's  a bloody awful singer as well!

We too were at the German Bakery enjoying Bratwurst. When the speakers rang into life, we also jumped. The bratwurst was last seen running down the market road.    That speaker had a marked stutter. We were told it had been accidentally damaged. They need to do a proper job next time.

I recently stayed at the Tugay earlier this month. I arrived in the early hours and didn't realise how close the mosque was. It was a shock to the system on the first night I can tell you! However, after a few nights, efes and a pair of earplugs, it didn't bother me as much. You do get used to it.

We are also very close to the mosque and we too got used to it.
It can be worse for noise with certain holidaymakers.
We have had some noisy gits over the years.lol
