Fortis is now 99% owned by the Belguim Goverment with backing from the IMF they have been in talks with BNP Paraank which are still ongoing, they have reached a new agreement which will be put to shareholders in April.

Post by: snowtop on March 18, 2009, 16:44:20 PM: i am in the Ziraat and ALL my money is safe, no need to worry about the 50,000 ceiling. You will however find that the private banks give 1 percent more intrest but not the guarantee of all your money back.
