christygee what problems are you refering too? Fortis is now 99% owned by the Belguim Goverment with backing from the IMF they have been in talks with BNP Paraank which are still ongoing, they have reached a new agreement which will be put to shareholders in April.
If you know of some specific problems perhaps you can share them with us as I and many more people have money in Fortis. http://www.fortis.com.tr/en/about/press_releases/20091003.jsp

No thats not strictly true, what I mean is if you take it today it is guaranteed for one month but it cant be guaranteed if you take it tomorrow.
-
We can serve 13.5 from 30 days till 96 days. :)
I think this rate will be the same for next two weeks :)

13.75% for a STERLING account...GBP....are you joking??????? :)
-
No a YTL account, and it was just one of the English speaking girls upstairs whom I have never dealt with before, usually Gulsan or Ayshe, but I do have a lot more in there than you Mark.
-
Do I sense a I've got more money than you in the bank debate? :) :):D
-
I have mine shared in different banks Andy because if Finnans goes under you are only covered for 50,000tl per peron as you know. ( not that I think they will)

As Mark is claiming to have the Maximum amount in his account that is guaranteed by the bank for a joint account and you are claiming to have "much more" in yours I hope for your sake they never go down. If you do, take your head out of the sand ....it can happen. :)
-
Ye I knew that Mark from previous posts, it just has a bearing on your interest rate all be it a small one.
-
i am in the Ziraat and ALL my money is safe, no need to worry about the 50,000 ceiling. You will however find that the private banks give 1 percent more intrest but not the guarantee of all your money back.
-
snowtop who guarantees your money is safe??
-
do ziraat bank guarantee any amount of money then
-
No
