Title: Christmas gifts
Post by: kevin3 on December 29, 2015, 12:28:07 PM
This Christmas i've received Burt Reynolds new Autobiography "But enough about me". A no punches pulled type of book.
Tom Jones new Autobiography "Over the top and back". Sounds as though it will be like Burts book.
A signed copy of a book by Elvis Presley's drummer DJ Fontana. "The beat behind the King". Lots of untold nuggets.
I'm looking forward to getting stuck in. I don't bother with fiction, there's enough of that in the media.
This New Year i'm turning over a leaf.!!     :)

Iv'e just digested Burt Reynolds new book and it was a very good read.He shares memories of his friendships with screen legends

behind the scenes, some funny, some sad, and speaks out against the "friends" that deserted him when he was down. Doesn't

pull his punches. Well worth a read.        ;)

I love reading about old movie stars and their life in the movies, some of the best I've read are:

Peter Lawford by James Spada
Mr S (Sinatra) by his chauffeur
Natasha (Natalie Wood ) by Susan Finstad
The Leading Men of MGM
