Really impressive effects. Were they taken with an android phone?

No, all taken with my last phone, an iPhone 5S.

What is the app Scunner? Would it work on an iPad? Many thanks  :)

It's called Colour Splash - apparently it is 79p, I thought it was free but well worth the 79p.

Works even better on an iPad - it turns your photos to black and white and you touch the colour areas back in - so the bigger screen is a real bonus   :)

Looks really good ,even if it is cheating. Going to treat myself, now can I persuade the OH to fund me 79p. Some grovellying to do, I think!  ;)

Well, after all that grovelling, I went and did it twice. My loverly valentines flowers, had a box of Ferrero Rocher, a bottle of New Zealand Pinot Nior, now my fav, and a lot of grovelling. This 79p has taken it out of me, hope I get a large card tomorrow as well. Thanks Scunner, hours of fun with this. Do you have a special pen thing to make sure you stay inside the perimeters?   :)

You can change the size & softness of the 'pen' by clicking the paintbrush option at the top. The real art is replacing the grey with colour, and fine tuning the colour by returning to brush with grey  :)

Use Pan & Zoom loads to get right into the detail

You can do a decent one in a couple of minutes - you can take loads longer if you are a perfectionist - good luck  :)

Sadler After buying her those lovely red roses and chocs as well you deserve a lot more than a card   :). And I hope you get a lot more. Great pic for a learner.
Scunner. Thanks for all the info on the app etc.Don't have an  iphone myself but am really impressed with what you have achieved with yours.Great pics you clever boy.  :)

Alixandria, I am a her! No offence taken. I realise I should have put a more feminine name on here, but that is my surname! OH has bought me roses, more than in the pic., chocolates, wine, and I hope a card tomorrow(although seriously I am not at all bothered about Valentine's Day). I have grovelled for 79p, if you can believe that, then you would believe anything! Not everyone gets my sense of humour, but I am sure you will bring some humour with you.   :)

Jeepers.

Most impressive, Scunner.

Enlarged and framed, the photo's of Calis and/or Venice would be stunning.

Thank you for posting them and showing me what can be achieved.
