I got a welcome text from O2 today with a much beetr deal when using my phone in Turkey. Previously it was £6 a MB, which got used up in minutes.
"We're extending our O2 Travel service. From 14 July 2016, you can now get all the minutes, texts and data you need in 30 countries outside Europe for £4.99 a day (£3.99 a day in Turkey). And we only charge you for the days you use it"

Yes that does look a better deal, but O2 and the other mobile carriers are still making mega money from international roaming calls and data charges >:( >:(
