NATIONWIDE VISA DEBIT CARDS

I recieved a letter from Nationwide telling me that from June they will be chargeing for useing your card abroad the rate will be .84% but then from July it will go up to 1%. I know there are a lot of people who use Nationwide in the atm's in Fethiye and Calis so I thought I would forward this info for those who dont know about the latest news from Nationwide.

This has been posted before Brenda. Apparently Turkey is a country where the charges will not apply. (for now!)

If you read the leaflet that comes with the letter or check on the website you will see that Turkey is excluded

Apply for a Cash Card Account.

I have a Cash Card Account that I use to withdraw cash when I'm on holiday. Will I be charged?

No. Initially, only Visa debit card transactions will have a fee applied. Your cash card is run by a different provider and is only available for withdrawing cash (it does not have facilities to make purchases online or at retailers). Our Cash Card Account is our Basic Bank Account and is available/suitable for customers who meet the Basic Bank Account criteria.
