Bought plug from Tesco - opened it and clear to see where all 3 wires went but then when I removed UK plug from the heater - it only had 2 wires - brown and blue - surprised me!

So I connected them and it works fine BUT could that be a problem - no earth and no fuse????

no because the original cable has no earth then the appliance is double insulated.
