Hello all,

How quickly can I get the water and Electric connected? Is it the sort of thing that can get sorted quickly?

Not sure about water and electricity as that was connected when we moved in but it took us 4 weeks to get a telephone line.  You have to have your residence permit first though.  You just go to the post office and fill in the necessary forms and then wait!  If you are going to be using the internet then try to get an ADSL line as it's much faster and cheaper long term.

Steve, water and electricity are usually already connect just needs to be transferred to your name, ask your estate agent as they should be do or helping you with this, there should be no problem. as for telephone, use the search button ot top of the forum this will bring up loads of information.
