We've just bought an electric oven with a gas hob from Eren Spot for about £160. This was about mid price range.

The prices that you've been quoted are mid to high. Don't forget though, cheapest ain't best!

Hi Lorna,

We were quoted approx the same, we appreciated it was on the high side, however as it was to be built in and this was quoted by the developers we decided that we would go with it and if there was any problems with fitting or cutting the work surfaces it would be covered by their guarentee.

If it is free standing then I am certain there are cheeper options.

Regards,
Lorraine

We also bought our cooker from Erin Spot and it has an electric fan oven and on the hob there are three gas rings and one electric one, so we should be covered for power cuts and the gas running out. I seem to remember that it cost £160 as Steve's and Val's did.
