A stroll and lunch

This is for Tinkerman and Supacabby, if you can't beat em, join em.
We often go out for a stroll and Sunday lunch and as always I have my camera with me. So here are a couple of shots I took at West Mersea Island just down the road from me. Just posted the link this time.

One of those pictures is of where my Dad moored his boat. He has passed away now but I have happy memories of spending time with him there. He always had the kettle on board ready for a cup of tea! :)Are the oyster beds still there?
Thank you for the pictures.  :) :)

Hi daffodil,

in answer to your question re: the oyster beds... yes they are still there, it would not be Mersea Island if they were not there...

a beautifull place....and so lucky to be just down the road from it...

but still would rather be in Calis :o

HI Guys thanks for your comments. I'm glad it brought back happy memories for you Daffodil, it is a lovely place and still unspoilt. Still has the oyster beds and lovely fish restaurant, but I agree with Sunlover Callis is better, well having said that if we got the weather over here that they have in Calis then I wouldn't mind having my two week holiday here.
But I like everybody else love to get away for the sunshine and for everything else I love about Calis and the Turkish people. :)

 Jacx,Lovely pics of West Mersea

We have been to the Oyster restaurant several times, the manager is turkish.Do you eat there or the company shed ?

I don't think you can book a table in the CS and we have only managed to eat there once
