Can I not book direct with hotels

Good afternoon,
Can I not book direct with hotels as it seems that you have to go through travel agents now I can't find any private hotel websites. 
It's a while since we have been to Calis so things may have changed, Shame as I prefer to deal direct with the hotels.

For example, both the Oykun (www.oykunhotel.com) ang Letoon Hotel (www.hotelletoon-calishbeach.com) have there own websites with Booking Enquiry Sections.

Most have websites. However it's usually cheaper to book through an agent, eg travel republic

I have also looked at this before and in most cases it is cheaper to go through an Agency
and a bit more reliable in many cases!

Certainly a lot of good Hotels will take a booking direct and some (for example Mutlu) it is the best
way as they get booked up very quiuckly! I booked the Mutlu last year and only just got a room the dates I wanted!

www.travelrepublic.co.uk very good as is www.sunshine.co.uk and www.sunmaster.co.uk although I think
they only sell holidays including flight? (booked with them for Calis in past no problems)

Yes and the hotels are notorious for not answering the phone or replying to emails - which makes you wonder if you did manage to book, would there be a room for you when you got there! I've used Sunshine.co.uk and booking.com many times and never a problem.

You can also check to see which of these booking companies is doing a hotel at the cheapest price - you might be surprised how many Efes vouchers you can save by comparing them - try www.sletoh.co.uk to get a list of quotes for the same hotel. Good luck.

I have often booked direct with hotels in Turkey .
On occassion we like to take a few days away from the apartment .
I have never had any problems and paid on arrival at the hotel.

i have emailed a hotel in patara for the weekend ,and found it cheap and we had no problems

we've been booking the Oykun direct for a couple of years no problem. They'll pick you up at Dalaman too if you want. Golden Moon takes direct bookings as well.
