The fixtures for the 2014_2015 were made this afternoon in Ankara. Fethiyespor kick off their Lig 2 season with a home game on Aug 31st against newly promoted MS Menemen from Izmir. The home games for the first half of the season are as follows~

31 AUG  MS Menemen
14 SEP  Bandirmaspor
28 SEP  Konya Selcukspor
5   OCT Kartalspor
19 OCT 1461 Trabzon
2 NOV  Tarsus
16 NOV Hacettepe
7 DEC  Karagumrukspor

Despite increasing the admission prices last season as the club were playing in Lig 1 the prices have remained the same for this campaign in Lig 2. Thats 20tl for the main grandstand, 10tl for the Marathon Stand and 5tl for behind the goal.

Yabanci - any predictions - are they favourites for promotion as a relegated team and have they lost some stars or strengthened the team?
Title: Re: Fethiye spor fixtures
Post by: yabanci on August 20, 2014, 10:16:20 AM
Sorry Ian, I havnt a clue how they will do this season. Maybe after the first 5 games we might have an idea, as they have to face 2 of the promoted sides and 1 of the teams who were relegated with them before the end of September.Yet again the team has been ripped apart with only veteran defender Sabri Turgut left from the starting 11 who beat Fenerbache last year.
In the 4 pre season games Fethiye managed only 1 win and 3 defeats but were usually playing different teams in each half of those games. However, the manager Engin Ipekoglu has promised to get the club promoted this season so onwards and upwards.  :)

Fethiyespor ended their pre season games with a 3-3 draw agaist a spirited Tekirovaspor side last night.Fethiye started brightly with new signing Aytac Deniz scoring after 7 mins. However 2 mistakes from keeper Topayan, both from set pieces put the visitors ahead at half time.Tekirova added a third from a free kick before a penalty converted by Guven and an 80th min goal from Bilgin levelled the score. One bright spot for the home side was the 2nd half debut from 18 year old Omer Coban who celebrated signing a 5 year contract this week with the club, by providing a superb pass that led to Fethiye's penalty.

Can we get tickets at the `hole in the wall` on the day  ? or at the turnstiles as it was two seasons ago ?   assuming falling attendances this season following their relegation  will that be resumed ? rather than a trip in to Fethiye days before a home game
Title: Re: Fethiye spor fixtures

Tickets were sold at the gate throughout last season Sleuth, its just that with Lig 1 football they tended to sell out much quicker than in previous seasons. You should be OK this season just paying at the gate but if you want to be 100% certain of a seat just get a ticket in advance at the club shop.  :)

Fethiyespor started their new season with a rather disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Menemen. The 1st half was poor with very few chances at either end but the visitors from Izmir were the better team. The 2nd half was just marginally better with Fethiye missing a couple of glorious chances through Bilgin and Sabri Turgut.Fethiye had to survive a nervy last few minute when full back Estik was sent off for a 2nd yellow card.
Fethiye are away next week to another of the promoted clubs, Keciorengucu.

Argueably  the worst match I  have seen at Fethiyespor... I fell asleep for 85 minutes of the 90  :-[    watching schoolboys playing  football in the park would have been of better quality. The standard ( both teams ) was awful.... to say equivilent to `lower conference league` level would be flattering them.... if both teams were  still playing now as I type  I dont think either team would score a goal.
I watch my local team Cheltenham Town in div 2  very regularly when I am back in the UK...  The standard of matches are generally `watchable`.
But the two teams playing last night ... words cant describe how bad they were.
I will go and watch Fethiye again, its local and I feel Fethiye is my second home...  but I may think twice about watching them if there are  premiership games on  tv on sundays or saturdays as an alternative

Perhaps I am being a little over critical of Fethiyespor as I understand the clubs finances got decimated when they were relegated.. and just like in the uk football ... no  money =  no players to buy
So maybe this `quality` is `it` :(

If Fethiye perform  regularly like they did last night then they are heading for another relegation and oblivion , ok it was the first match  and   the opposition were no better   lets hope ... and I  do hope... it gets better for them and some quality  and  good results start to happen... we shall see

Also annoying, and very noticable  is watching turkish players dropping and feigning  injuries at the `drop of the hat`   stop start football at its worse  last night  and  its been very regular in the  several  Fethiyespor matches I have seen over the seasons...perhaps its the `norm` out here but its very off putting.

Any team with 10(?) new players are going to need time to gel.

It's very early days. Obviously I wasn't there (hope to make it next year in Lig 1), but surely you'll get a better idea 6-8 games in - just ask Louis Van Gaal...

I'd also wish to complain to a mod for Scunner pinching (improving?) my crap Menemen gag.
Title: Re: Fethiye spor fixtures
Post by: Sleuth on September 02, 2014, 11:57:42 AM
Agree it might be too early to judge..... but reference  Luis van Gaal    ...he has 134 million  to spend   ;D

Fethiyesport has zilch.... what you see is what you get...  question is can the coach do something with what he is `dealt`      but like I said   the opponents  sunday night were equally as awful... so horses for courses  maybe

Fethiyespor made it 2 games without a win, or a goal losing 2=0 in Ankara this afternoon.Their hosts Keciorengucu were ahead after just 3 minutes and added a 2nd mid way through the second half.Fethiyespor are at home next Sunday to Ofspor from Trabzon, who have lost both their opening 2 matches this season.KO is at 20.00.

Fethiyespor wasted no time in appointing a new manager with 54 year old Beyhan Caliskan given the position yesterday.Beyhan made his name as a midfielder for Bursaspor and was capped once for Turkey. This will be his second stint in charge of Fethiye as he guided the club into the Lig 2 playoffs in 2012 where they lost in the final to Adana Demirspor. 3 points on Sunday would be a very good start for him.
Title: Re: Fethiye spor fixtures

Fethiyespor managed a minor miracle in their game this evening, coming from 2-1 down to draw 1-1 against 10 man Ofspor. In a game with a poor referee and plenty of poor football, Fethiyespor just about shaded the first half, having plenty of possession but no real cutting edge.
However it was the visitors who went ahead,5 mins into the second half but Fethiye managed to draw level on 70 mins with their 1st goal of the season scored by Emre Okur.Ofspor were reduced to 10 men 5 mins later but then managed to score a second goal with 10 mins remaining. After going across to confer with the 4th official the referee then ruled the goal out and the score went back to 1-1 and despite 8 mins of added time thats the way it stayed.Goalscorer Okur was sent off after the whistle for throwing a punch.
Fethiyespor move up to 12th with that point and have an away game next week at Tavsanli who were also relegated from Lig 1 last season.

We went to the game and it was probably the best 10L I have spent.I thought the riot police on duty and fences a bit OTT, but the match did reach fever pitch after the ref disallowed the goal and showed a  red card.Fethiyespor created more chances and will surely improve under the new coach.Hopefully the game tonight with my beloved Hammers is as entertaining

Couldn't agree more Badge, three red cards, a good old fashion brawl with a peach of a right cross delivered, and of course the fourth official overruling the lino, and eight minutes of Fergie time given by the fourth official .... no he was not a homer or worse bent!!

Fethiyespor drew 0-0 at Tavsanli Linitspor this afternoon. That makes it just 1 goal in 4 games, but only 1 defeat also.Fethiye now in 14th place in the league. They have 2 home games this week, Konya in the league next Sunday and a cup match this Wednesday against Derincespor from Lig 3, who unlike Fethiye , have banged in 7 goals in their 3 league games this season.

Fethiyespor just about managed to overcome lower league opposition to move into the 3rd round of the Ziraat Cup.In a dour game the only real points of note both occurred in the 2nd half . Derincespor missed a penalty on 52 minutes and Ahmet Guven scored Fethiye's winner with 6 minutes to go.Fethiye are at home on Sunday to Konya Selcukspor.KO is at 7.00pm.

Fethiyespor managed their first victory of the season with a 2-0 victory over a poor Konya side.Goals right on half time and 2 mins into 2nd half injury time from midfielder Mert Er Estik gave Fethiye the 3 points.Fethiye move up to 12th, one point and one place behind next weeks opposition Tokatspor.

Fethiyespor lost for the first time at home this season,2-0 against Kartalspor this evening. Two second half goals both courtesy of shocking Fethiye passing handed Kartal the 3 points. The closest Fethiye came was with a glancing Emre Okur header acrobatically saved by the keeper.Fethiye move down to 15th.
Two games for Fethiye this week, away at Turgutlu on Wednesday afternoon and at home to 1461 Trabzon on Sunday evening.KO at 7.00pm again.

Now I  have   watched Fethiyespor win only once in eleven  visits   :(  as Yabanci pointed out... the opponents keeper was `tested` only once out of 90 minutes :-(     Fethiyespor were dire to say the least.
Also Saturday evening must  a bad night for them to play a home match ...  it seemed like there were more police officers there in attendance than spectators  :-[
The crowd  couldnt have been many  more than  8 or 9 hundred...  compared to last seasons  10.000 or so in the higher division
It does seem like a team of `no hopers` once again heading for relegation  right now unfortunately  :(
I am back in the UK  in 2 weeks until early February...  I am wondering where they will be in the league by then ?
Hope they can manage to win a few games in my absence... but bumpy rides ahead I fear  :(

My home team Cheltenham Town, where  I will be watching  their home games on my return are experiencing a bad run also .

Good luck to both  teams ...  they both need it  :D

After losing for the first time at home on Saturday, Fethiye won for the first time away this afternoon.A goal right on half time from reserve centre back Cenk Ozbey giving Fethiye a 1-0 win at Turgutlu.Fethiye move up to 14th in the league with 9 points, level with Sundays opponents 1461 Trabzon.

Fethiyespor couldnt follow up their good mid-week result as they only drew 1-1 with 1461 Trabzon this evening. The visitors went ahead on 18 minutes when the Fethiye keeper couldnt hold onto a free kick, spilling the ball straight into the path of a Trabzon player.Emre Okur equalised 8 mins later.Fethiye had much the better of the 2nd half and went closest when Huseyin Ozturk had a volley cannon off the crossbar.
Fethiye remain 14th in the league but have a tough away game in Istanbul next weekend when they play 3rd placed Umraniyespor.

Fethiyespor picked up a very good away point in Istanbul this afternoon, with a 0=0 draw against Umraniyespor. This was the clubs 5th draw of the season and their 3rd 0=0.Fethiye remain in 14th place on 11 points.Fethiye are away again on Wednesday when they travel to Ankara to face Keciorengucu in the 3rd round of the Ziraat Cup,and then its a home game in the league next Sunday against Tarsus.

Fethiyespor missed out on a possible big name tie in the Ziraat Cup 4th round, by losing 1=0 in Ankara this afternoon. The hosts were even reduced to 10 men on 72 minutes and despite 30 minutes of extra time Fethiye could still not score for the 7th time in 12 games this season.Keciorengucu secured their place in the next round with a goal in the 116th minute.
Fethiye are at home on Sunday,KO at 13.30.

Fethiyespor made it 8 games this season without scoring, drawing 0=0 with Tarsus this afternoon.Fethiye had much the better 1st half and Emre Okur missed 2 glorious chances inside the 6 yard box, blasting one over the bar,and the other saved by the keeper after coming off his shins. The 2nd half was very mediocre apart from the last 10 mins when Fethiye threw the kitchen sink at the Tarsus goal.
Fethiye remain in 14th place on 12 points and are away to 2nd place Yeni Malatyaspor next weekend.

Fethiyespor narrowly missed out on another away point losing 1-0 at Yeni Malatyaspor this afternoon, the hosts scoring in the 90th minute.Malatya go top with that win and Fethiye slump to 17th.Fethiye are at home next weekend against Hacettepe who are 6 places above them, but only 1 point better off.

A win though this sunday   in the FA Cup  would put us into the hat for the 3rd round with a chance of a potential lucrative  draw against a Prermiership club again.......   we need the money !!!     FINGERS CROSSED

Fethiyespor lost 3=1 away at Pendikspor this afternoon,a result that moves Pendik back to the top of Lig 2 and moves Fethiye down one place to 16th.Fethiye were 2=0 down by half time and their consolation goal came through Batuhan Salman after 57 mins.Fethiye have a chance to get back to winning ways next week with a home game against Korfez Iskenderun from Hatay who are 1 point and 1 place below Fethiye in the league.

Fethiyespor survived a late scare to make it 2 home wins on the trot with a 2=1 victory over lowly Korfez this afternoon.Emre Okur put Fethiye in front after 18 mins and the home side had the better of the 1st half.Korfez came out the stronger in the 2nd half as Fethiye looked to just sit on their lead. However Fethiye were reduced to 10 men on 69 mins when defender Ahmet Topal hauled down a Korfez player in the penalty area.Korfez missed the spot kick and the rebound as Fethiye clung on to their lead.On 83 mins Emre Okur scored his 2nd goal and looked to have made the game safe, but Korfez grabbed a goal back on 89 mins.4 mins of injury time had to be endured before the 3 points were safe.Fethiye move up to 14th with 19 points and are away to Bayrampasa next week who sit 1 point and 2 places above Fethiye in the league.

Fethiyespor ended the first half of the season with a disappointing 3=2 loss in Istanbul this afternoon against Bayrampasa.Fethiye opened the scoring with Emre Okur on the half hour but Bayrampasa drew level 2 mins before half time.Fethiye went ahead  with another goal from Okur [his 8th of the season]after 74 mins. However with just 7 mins remaining Omer Coban gave away a penalty and was sent off for his second yellow card.Bayrampasa scored from the spot and got the winner 3 mins from time.Fethiye are down to 15th after that result,1 point above the relegation zone but only 7 pts adrift of the last play off position. No games for 3 weeks now,the next match away at 2nd placed Menemen on Jan 11th.

Fethiyespor started the second half of the Lig 2 season much the same as they ended the first half, with an away defeat by a single goal. Fethiye had 5 of their 7 new signings in their line up to face Menemen in Izmir this afternoon and went behind to an 11th min goal by their hosts who are sitting 2nd in the league. For the 3rd game running Fethiye had a player sent off, substitute Batuhan Salman getting a straight red card 8 mins after coming on.Menemen made the game safe with a second goal on 72 mins before Serkan Sahin netted deep into injury time.
Fethiye move down a place to 16th and are at home to Keciorengucu from Ankara next weekend who are 9 places and 7 points above Fethiye in the league.

Fethiyespor drew their 1st match at home after the mid season break, 0=0 against Keciorengucu. In a game of very few clear cut chances, the best two fell to Fethiye in the second half with the opposition keeper making 2 good saves from headers.Fethiye remain in 16th place on 20 points and have an away game next weekend at Ofspor who are 9th in the table, 6 points ahead of Fethiye.

Striker Emre Okur went from hero to zero in the space of 15 mins of the Ofspor vs Fethiyespor match this afternoon. After a goal less first half up on the Black Sea, Okur grabbed his 9th goal of the season with a penalty after a minute of the restart. However 15 mins later he became the 4th Fethiye player in 5 games to get a red card.Fethiye managed to hold on for just their 2nd away win of the season and move up to 14th in the league.A home game next weekend against botton side Tavsanli.

Fethiyespor managed back to back wins for the first time this season, coming from behind to beat bottom of the table Tavsanli 2=1 this afternoon. With a strong wind blowing down the pitch Fethiye were poor in the first half and it was no surprise when the visitors took the lead just after the half hour mark.Playing with the wind in the second half Fethiye looked much better, but it looked like it was going to be one of those afternoons with them still trailing going into the last 10 minutes.
However a little bit of luck came the way of Fethiye in the 83rd minute when in a crowded box a shot came off a Tavsanli defender, wrong footing the keeper and rolled into the net.4 mins later it was 2=1 when centre back Ibrahim Surgulu smashed home a shot in the middle of a crowded penalty area.So 7 points from 9 keeps Fethiye in 14th place,on 26 points but they are only 7 points off 5th place.Away at Konya next weekend who are 2 places above Fethiye.

The home game against Centone karagumruk on Non 30th was played at Mugla. The Ataturk Stadium was a happy hunting ground for Fethiye as they gained only their 2nd home win in 8 games there, winning 2=1.

Fethiyespor continued their good run with their 3rd win in 3 games by beating Konya 2=1 away this afternoon.Fethiye opened the scoring on the half hour mark with a goal from Emre Ozturk, his first for the club since his return from Yeni Malatyaspor during the Transfer Window.Konya pulled a goal back right on half time but Ozturks second goal, 7 mins after the restart was enough for Fethiye to take the 3 points.Fethiye are up to 10th now with 29 points and have a home game against lowly Tokatspor next weekend.

Fethiyespor's 3 match winning run came to an end this afternoon with a 1-1 draw against Tokatspor. For the first 20 mins it was all Fethiye and Emre Okur made it 1-0 after 13 mins, his 10th goal of the season. However Tokat grew in confidence and came more and more Iinto the game and equalised after 62 mins.Fethiye had a lifeline after 72 mins when Tokat had a player sent off after a 2nd yellow card. The man advantage only lasted 5 mins before Seckin Getbay got sent off for 2 yellow cards as well.
So the game finished 1-1 and extends Fethiye's unbeaten run to 5 games.Fethiye move down 1 in the table to 11th, and are away next weekend to Kartalspor who are 9th.

Still seeking my first Fethiye Sport  win  in 12 months  lol      but as Yabanci said  .. the first 20 minutes Fethiye looked promising going forward....  much better than when I last watched them back in October...  unfortunately the game as a watchable event deteriorated after that  :-(   too many players  `dropping`   causing the game to stop  /  start   ... also  an `off the pitch ` spat between some guy from the away teams bench over a decision    who nearly throttled someone... and the ref  having a police escort off the pitch at half time...    only in Turkey  lol
The second half wasn`t too special and chances for Fethiye were few and squandered

No game for Fethiyespor today in snowy Istanbul due to the weather. The match will now take place on Weds 18th March. The next game for Fethiye is now on Wednesday afternoon when they will host lowly Turgutluspor who are 5 places and 6 points behind Fethiye.A low scoring game looks on the cards as these 2 teams are the lowest scoring teams in the league, Turgutlu with 19 and Fethiye one better on 20.
Title: Re: Fethiye spor fixtures
Post by: yabanci on February 25, 2015, 14:12:43 PM
Fethiyespor produced a rather insipid performance this afternoon going down 0=1 to Turgutluspor, their first defeat in 6 games.Fethiye never really got going and didnt produce a single clear cut chance all game.Turgutlu scored a breakaway goal 11 mins from time and Fethiye played out the last 10 mins with 10 men as centre half Surgulu had to go off with a hamstring problem after all 3 subs had come on.
Fethiye move down to 12th in the league and are away on Sunday at 1461 Trabzon.

Fethiyespor suffered their biggest defeat of the season losing 4=0 at 1461 Trabzon this afternoon.Fethiye were a goal down after just 8 mins and that was how it stayed until half time. However 2 goals in 7 mins just after the hour mark and a 4th four mins from time gave Trabzon their revenge for the 4=0 thrashing Fethiye gave them in Lig 1 last January.Fethiye without a win in their last 3 games move down to 13th in the league. They have a home match next weekend against Umraniye from Istanbul who are currently in 2nd place in the table.

Fethiyespor produced a much improved performance this week to hold promotion chasing Umraniyespor 1=1 at home this afternoon.Fethiye were much the better side in the first half but went behind on 32 mins.Fethiye equalised on 66 mins with a debut goal from January signing Hakan Bahran. The point keeps Fethiye in 13th place on 31 points, and the team travel to 2nd from bottom Tarsus next weekend.

After a run of 5 games without defeat Fethiyespor made it 5 games without a win after going down 3=1 away at Tarsus.A two goal blast from home striker Ergun Cengiz in the first half put Fethiyespor on the back foot, although Emre Okur got a goal back for Fethiye just before half time. The score stayed the same until 7 mins before the end when the home side scored their third to take the 3 points.Fethiye move down to 14th now just 2 points above the relegation zone.
After the match manager Beyhan Caliskan resigned.Fethiyespor have their rearranged fixture at Kartalspor on Wednesday afternoon.

Fethiyespor managed their first win in 6 games this afternoon and it was Batman who came to their rescue.Thats Umit Can Batman, a January signing from Tokatspor who got his 1st goal for the club after 80 mins to seal 3 very valuable points for Fethiye. The hosts Kartalspor did play most of the 2nd half with 10 men, but that win moves Fethiye up to 12th on 34 points, now 5 pts clear of the relegation zone.A tough home game to come on Sunday against 2nd placed Yeni Malatyaspor.

Fethiyespor failed to take advantage of their good result in midweek going down 2=1 at home to promotion chasing Yeni Malatyaspor this afternoon.Fethiye took the lead after 36 mins when Emre Ozturk scored against his former club. However 2 defensive lapses in the 2nd half allowed Malatya to take the lead and see out the match.Fethiye did manage to hit the bar from a corner in the last minute of injury time. That result sees Fethiye down to 14th,only 4 points clear of the relegation zone.
An away match in the capital next weekend against mid table Hacettepe.

Fethiyespor lost 2=0 away in Ankara this afternoon against Hacettepe.2 goals midway through the second half ensured the 3 points went to the home side.So Fethiye move down to 15th just 2 points above the relegation zone. All the teams around them have a midweek fixture on Wednesday but Fethiye have their bye match.Fethiye have a crunch home game on Sunday against local rivals Aydinspor who are in 6th place just 3 points outside a play off place.
Title: Re: Fethiye spor fixtures

Fethiyespor put in a shift and a half to defeat play-off chasing Aydinspor (and a very poor referee) 1-0 this afternoon.Striker Emre Okur got his 12th goal of the season after 7 mins and thats the way it stayed. Those 3 points move Fethiye up to 14th on 37 points, 2 points above the relegation zone.Fethiye have another tough game next weekend in Istabul, playing Centone Karagumruk who are 1 point and 1 place above todays visitors Aydin.Looking more likely that Fethiye will need more than 40 points to avoid a second relegation.
Title: Re: Fethiye spor fixtures

Fethiyespor achieved a creditable 0-0 draw this afternoon against play off chasing Centone Karagumruk. Fethiye remain in 14th but now have 38 points. Also none of the 5 teams below them won, so Fethiye are 3 points above the drop zone.Tough home game next week against Pendikspor , also from Istanbul who are currently 2nd in the league.

Another useful point gained by Fethiyespor this afternoon when they came from behind twice to draw 2=2 with promotion chasing Pendikspor. Fethiye found themselves 1=0 down after just 8 mins when the visitors were awarded a rather soft looking penalty.Fethiye got themselves back into the game on 35mins when Batman got his 2nd goal for the club following a goalmouth scramble. However Pendik regained the lead just before half time. On 55 mins centre back Surgulu also got his 2nd goal for the club to earn Fethiye a point.
That leaves Fethiye 15th in the league,1 point and 1 place outside the drop zone.Fethiye are away next weekend at Korfez who are that team just behind Fethiye in the last relegation place.

And thats what they got.Fethiye drew 0=0 this afternoon with Korfez,a result that moves Fethiye up one place to 14th but still keeps them only 1 point above the relegation zone.Next week Fethiye host Bayrampasa from Istanbul knowing a win would be enough to avoid relegation.A draw or a defeat would leave them looking around at the other results as any 3 from 6 could still go down, with only 4 points between those 6 teams.

Well done to Mystic AOK.
Fethiyespor did what they needed to do this afternoon beating Bayrampasa 1=0,a result that maintains their Lig 2 status for another season.Fethiye looked the more dangerous team throughout the match with their visitors offering very little. However after numerous chances went begging it looked like it was going to be one of those days, until a superb strike from top scorer Emre Okur gave Fethiye the lead after 32 mins. The 2nd half was mainly played in the visitors half and Fethiye held on for their win which saw them finish 14th in the league on 43 points,4 points clear of relegation.
