What's the point of holding a football match in a stadium where the players can't hear the whistle. Play it behind closed doors the next time ;)

We were outplayed in the first leg and was 1-0 down at half time.....
We won 2-1.
We were outplayed in the first half in this game and was 1-0 down at half time..
We scored within 10mins of the start of the second half. 1-1... RVP gets sent off...
We go to pieces and loose 3-1... Yet we are told we were outplayed... 11 against 10.
And not one foul from a Barca player got a booking, dispite Hands being pushed in RVP face.
So now all the pundits say, Arsenal would have been beaten anyway..
The same one's who said the same things at half time in both games.
Yes.... outplayed.

I tend to agree Barry. Nobody knows what would have happened had RVP not got sent off.
Yes Barca were better but the best teams don't always win.

One more goal would have been enough even at the death.

I didn't see the game barry, so you may rightly question my view, but the stats show that Arsenal did not have one attempt on target whereas Barca had many. That would suggest that Barca were well worth their win.

That having been said, it must be a massive disappointment to the club and it's fans because there is no doubt that Arsenal would have graced the next round.

Barry ,you have to put a lot of blame on your manager 1.Why play two players who he said were not 100% RVP and Fabregas.2 They played very negative football,3.why the hell were they playing Barca in the first place?they should have won their group easily but for the arrogance of Wenger playing weakened teams against Shakhtar and Braga ,dropping points allowing Shakhtar to win the group and go on to destroy a crap Roma team.
WENGER ,NEVER WRONG ,NEVER SEES AN aRSENAL PLAYER DOING WRONG REFS ALWAYS WRONG .Never a bad foul by his players but every bad tackle on his team is assault.
Barry i was rooting for them as i always do in Europe but they were outplayed.

Does the question beg that if RVP were still on the field of play, would he have bagged the chance Bendtner missed at the end?

Stoop is correct, the best teams do not always win and Barca could have had a thousand chances but if they don't hit the back of the net and your one chance does then they lose.

Arsenal will still be the nearly team again this season mainly due to the fact that we need to buy quality in the January window. This has been the case for a few seasons, Wenger is right not to buy in the summer but he always misses his opportunity in January because he is stuck in his ways and belief that the young boys will one day prove everyone wrong. The young players do fine but they also need a couple of proven experienced players to nuture them through winning a cometition, time to wise up Arsene.

John Terry, David Beckham, & William Gallas, any one of those could install belief and take charge which would prove good for the gunners.

Only my opinion  ;)
