Thanks Keith, what a relief! I was totally lost in some of the posts.  

Hubby was a manager of one of the other teams in the club where he played as a youngster before he was 'signed up' by the 'Big Boys' and he certainly didn't learn his 'tricks' there.

He should be 'Red' carded retrospectively Stoop we agree

Yeah Barton was stupid trying to get the "guy" sent off and then admitting it. If he'd stamped on my leg I'd have got him carried off but with a bit more finesse  ;)

he cant be given a red card retrospectively, the ref saw the incident and gave him a yellow.

No but they could have charged him for bringing the game into disrepute or whatever. I see he's got away with it as they say he does not have a case to answer for his play acting.
