A tremendous result and so refreshing.

Just goes to show that money is not everything.

Wouldn't it be good......"to dream the impossible dream" (you're all humming it now).

Plus, I make many pennies which will go to "Embrace".

Money talks as far as players are concerned as they have a short shelf life. But as for manager I am not convinced it is all about money.I believe they just  truly do want to get to be  known as as a good manager not necessarily a great manager.Job satisfaction.

Guess you're forgetting Mourinho, Guardiola, Clough, Ferguson et al.

Hardly the smallest of egos.

However, amongst lesser mortals, you may well be right.

Not wholly sure they want to be considered as anything but employed.

So all of them only did it for the money...not to hopefully achieve their goal as being a good/great in Fergies case a great manager?
I dont think so.  :)

None would have been happy with being a "good" manager.

Money didn't enter in to it - nor into my reasoning.

They only wanted to be "great" managers.

Egos.

Pure and simple (however, nothing wrong with that - they all became great managers).

They did, but not without a lot of cash backing them up.

So no manager is any good or great unless he is given millions to send on players? Nothing to do with how good he is, just how much he can spend.  What planet are you on   :)

The Capitalist one.

That's the way it works.
