Fethiyespor managed  to grind out a 0-0 draw with Pendikspor this afternoon. This moves Fethiye up to 5th in the league, although  there are a couple  of games to come  this evening.
Fethiye have a tough looking home fixture next Saturday  evening  against  Gumushane from N.E. Turkey. The visitors have made the Lig 2 play-offs for the last 2 seasons, and lost in the final last year after finishing 2nd in their league. They are currently  one of only 3 teams with a 100% record in the league. KO is at 19.00.

I see that point as a positive improvement as my last game was the 2-0 home loss to Pendikspor at the end of last season and they were a far better team!

Agree Simon, a good point indeed, especially  as Pendik missed a penalty early in the 2nd half.

Fethiyespor wasted no time in appointing a new Technical Director as they unveiled 53 year old Feyyaz Ucar as their coach.]

According  to the club's  web-site the agreement with Feyyaz Ucar to take over as TD of Fethiyespor  was only agreed in principle  and no contracts were signed. Contractual  discussions  have broken down and the club has begun to search for a new coach.

62 year old Husnu Ozkara has been unveiled as the new coach of Fethiyespor and will take charge of his first game this evening. His last position was coach of 1461 Trabzon which ended in February this year.

Fethiyespor lost for the first time this season as they were defeated 2-0 at home by Gumushanespor this evening. For the first 20 mins Fethiye were by far the better team and Omer Karanci on the right wing had several half chances on goal. However it was the visitors who took the lead half way through the first half with Yilmazer netting from close range.Fethiye had further chances, hitting the post from long range,Onur Garip shooting over the bar,and just before half time, shooting just wide.
In the 48th min a free kick swung into the Fethiye box saw the visitors and Yilmazer score their second goal. With 20 mins to go Gumushane were reduced to 10 men but Fethiye could find no way through the visitors defence.
That defeat sees Fethiye drop to 11th in the league, one place behind Nazilli who are Fethiye's next opponents on Wednesday evening in the 3rd round of the Ziraat Cup.In their last 4 home games against Nazilli, Fethiye have won 2 and drawn 2.KO is at 20.30.

Fethiyespor progressed  to the next round of the Ziraat Cup with a comfortable  2-0 win over Nazilli this evening. The 1st half lacked the slick attacking moves that Fethiye showed in Saturday's  match and 0-0 at half time was a fair reflection  of the game.
The game was won for the home side with 2 second half headers from set pieces. After 52 mins centre half Cemil Adican headed in from a corner and 20 mins later forward Berat Tosun headed in from a free kick.
A Super Lig side at home in the 4th round draw would be nice.  :)
Fethiye return  to league action at the weekend  with an away trip up to The Black Sea to face Zonguldak where they drew 1-1 last season.

New boss Husnu Ozkara is still waiting for his win ,as Fethiyespor lost 2-1 away to Zonguldak yesterday. All the goals came in the 1st half with the home side opening the scoring with a header from forward Okan Eken after 35 mins.Fethiye equalised 2 mins before half time with an acrobatic  over head kick from on loan striker Berat Tosun. However Eken grabbed  his 2nd goal for the hosts deep into 1st half injury time to claim the win.
That defeat sees Fethiye move down to 11th in the table.Another mid-week evening home game for Fethiye on Wednesday when they host 2nd from bottom Kahramanmaras. Fethiye do not have a particularly good recent home record against  the visitors having not beaten them in their last 4 encounters.Last season  the game finished 1-1. KO is at 19.00.

Fethiyespor could only manage a 1-1 draw against lowly Kahramanmaras at home this evening.Fethiye were not at their best in the 1st half and fell behind after only 8 mins. The best chance Fethiye managed was a free kick from the right which was scrambled past the post by the keeper.
Fethiye upped the tempo in the 2nd half and after 5 mins Onur Garip chipped the keeper to score his 1st goal for the club. However Fethiye could not find a winner and the point sees Fethiye move down to 13th in the league with 5 points.
A long away trip to S.E Turkey to face Sanliurfaspor on Sunday is up next for Fethiye. The hosts are 2nd in the league and are unbeaten this season. However when Fethiye last played there in 2014 they did manage a 1-0 victory.
