Fethiyespor  could only manage a 1-1 draw with Nazilli this evening.  A rather poor 1st half came to life after 30 mins when Yigit Gokoglan scored for the home side. However on 61 mins the visitors grabbed an equaliser and thats how it ended. That point keeps Fethiye in 13th place on 6 points.
An away match in Izmir next weekend when Fethiye face 4th placed Altay who were promoted from Lig 3 last season via the play-offs.The teams have only met once before, in 2012 in a Ziraat Cup match, when Fethiye lost 1-0.

Fethiyespor managed contrasting results in the last fortnight. Away in Izmir 2 weeks ago they played high flying Altay, and it was Fethiye who took the lead with Onur Garip scoring after 12 mins. It looked as if Fethiye might record their 1st away win of the season but a 74th min penalty and a 94th min goal for the home side put paid to that.
Last Saturday evening Fethiye were at home to mid table Karagumruk and found themselves 1-0 down in the 1st minute. However, despite losing 3 players to injury, goals from Yildirimli and a 66th min penalty from Umut Sozen saw Fethiye to their 2nd win of the season, and move them up to 13th in the league with 9 points.
This evening sees Fethiye host Lig 1 side Adanaspor in the 4th round of the Ziraat Cup. KO is at 19.00.

Fethiyespor put up a good show despite going out of the Ziraat Cup with a 2-1 defeat at home to Adanaspor this evening.Fethiye had 7 players out with injury, and could only name 5 subs instead of 7, but they still managed to have the better of the 1st half. 2 mins before the break Yigit Gokoglan put Fethiye ahead, just 2 mins after coming on for the injured Yildirimli.
Adana upped their game in the 2nd half and 2 goals, on 69 and 73 mins was enough to see the Lig 1 side through to the next round.
Back to league action on Sunday with an away game at Konya for Fethiye.Konya are just 1 place above Fethiye in the league table and it is somewhat of a lucky ground for Fethiye who have won there on their last 3 visits.

Fethiyespor came away with a point from their match in Konya, in a classic game of two halves.A brace from on loan striker Berat Tosun and a superb strike from just outside the penalty area by Yigit Gokoglan put Fethiye 3-0 up at the break. In the 46th min Fethiye defender Omer Karanci received a straight red card to reduce the visitors to 10 men. Then 3 goals in 8 mins saw the home side level the scores up.In the 84th min Fethiyespor mid-fielder Ertugrul Arslan received a 2nd yellow card for a ridiculous dive in the penalty area to reduce Fethiye to 9 men. However they managed to see out the remaining time to earn a draw which keeps them in 13th place, now with 10 points.
Another away game for Fethiye next weekend when they travel to 6th placed Nigde Belediyespor who are on a good run of form at the moment, unbeaten in their last 8 league games.

Fethiyespor's mini unbeaten run of 2 matches came to an end this afternoon as they lost 2-0 away at Nigde Belediyespor. Fethiye were missing 6 players through injury and a further 2 were suspended. The hosts took the lead just before half time, and added a second  through former Fethiye player Seckin Getbay after 73 mins. That defeat sees Fethiye now down to 14th in the league.
Fethiye are at home next Sunday when they take on high flying Kirklarelispor who are currently 4th in the league. The Fethiye defence will have to keep an eye on the opposition striker, Sinan Kurumus who is the joint top scorer in Lig 2 with 8 goals this season.

After just 11 games in charge, technical director Husnu Ozkara and Fethiyespor have parted ways by " mutual consent". His record over those 11 games was 2 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats. So the club is now looking for manager number 3 with the season not even at the half way point yet. :(
