Hello
Did anyone fly into Belfast airport from East mids, Birmingham? Which airline is the best one to use please? Also a recommendation for car hire in Belfast?

As a very experienced traveler to Belfast on business (but mainly as the husband of a Belfast woman 8) )

The best choice is also the only choice as far as I know - Flybe East Mids or Birmingham into BHD (Belfast City). Flybe can be amazingly cheap and also outrageously expensive - if you can be flexible on dates and times you can potentially save a fortune...

I have no great opinion on car hire at Belfast - I have used them all and they are all pretty much the same.

I generally use Easirent for car hire in the UK. They may not have the ratings of some of the bigger players, but in the dozen or so times I've used them, I've had no problems at all & their prices are always good by comparison

EasyJet fly Birmingham to Belfast and would usually  be a lot cheaper than Flybe.
Another option depending on where you are planning to travel to once in Northern Ireland , Ryanair fly East Midlands to Dublin and Aer Lingus fly Birmingham to Dublin but these maybe not an option journey from Dublin airport to Belfast takes about  1.45
