The Olive Garden - Kabak
« on: July 10, 2015, 10:00:35 AM »
A tranquil getaway just a short but hairy drive around the coastline from Ölüdeniz...

The Olive Garden and other places in Kabak are generally visited by walkers, nature lovers, yogis and those that just want to relax in peace and tranquility.

The garden and pool

The infinity pool

Overlooking the beach

The restaurant and bar area

Mixed meze

Cumin köfte

Seafood stir fry

Seasonal fresh fruit platter

Carole and Tayfun do this as a tour on Wednesdays and Saturdays - maximum 12 people

You can drive or get there by Dolmuş - last stop then a steep but short walk down to the Olive Garden on a bumpy unmade road, which carries on down to the beach.

Lovely place Nichola, we spent a day there last year, has the infinity pool only been added in the last 12 months?

Yes Chris, over the winter     :)

I should have taken photos of the wooden bungalows as well as it is possible to stay there too.

We were in Hisaronu and asked directions.  The shop owner and his English girlfriend told us not to go in the car as the road was very dangerous.  The woman told us she had been once in a car and would not go again. They advised us to get the dolmus.  So we gave up and went to Kakakoy for lunch instead.

We went the day before you, it was absolutely glorious.
Only us and about six other people there!

Not necessarily the place to go with younger kids/teenagers if they prefer somewhere a bit more lively but we all loved it.
The road there was also nowhere near as bad as we'd been led to believe!

Wonderful place! It must be pure bliss when you need a peaceful hideaway.

These are great photos Nichola, I hope you don't mind but I've copied them because they're so much better than mine!  8)

The drive is ok if you take it steady, I've done it a few times now, well worth it for the views and the fabulous Olive Garden when you arrive there.

A visited the Olive Garden twice last year. Both times by dolmus from Olu. First time we stayed the day, second time stayed the night with friends in the wooden chalets. Very basic, bed, en suite. Very reasonable price which included evening meal. Overnight stay and breakfast. The road was good all the way, reminded us of the coast road to Kalcan. Very doable in a car. Brilliant place
