Setting Up A Business

A friend of mine has just bought a place in Calis and her son is interested in coming out here and running his own business - ideally running a bar.  I have read the Turkish Law link provided but would be grateful if anyone else is aware of anyone who has done this and how this was achieved (without marriage!)

I hope you don't think i'm being horrible, but i think he would be crazy to open a bar.

If your friend wants a successful business in calis or any where else abroad for that matter,  he should come up with an original idea and open something that isn't readily available.

I agree.

You've got to find something unique these days.

Thanks everyone so far - got to agree sounds a little crazy to me too.  However - the main question is related to how to get a work permit and set up a business.

Why not ask the question on Fethiye Times Legal Q&A Section?
