My daughter came in about 4 weeks ago for the second time on her 90/180 visa, with no problems. Her husband came in last weel also on his second visit on  a 90/180 visa and he had no problems either...
but was the visa issued over 90 days ago??

It must just be a problem in Istanbul then.
Hope they sort it soon.
Always someone in Istanbul trying to con you lol although I love the place

just reporting back no problems at all at Dalaman on the new style visa, fourth visit this year on the new type visa have not exceeded my 90 days and so far not encounterd any probs  ;)

Err no I think if you reread  the post they did not get a new visa and passport control merely stamped the passport with the entry date recognising that the 90/180 day visa was still valid just as they do when you have a Residents Permit.
