Staying stubbornly off topic (sorry) - I think the hotel should take the responsibility. If there are enough sunbeds then say yes to 'outsiders' and if allowing them to use the facilities makes it harder for residents then they should politely say no. In any case, I think they should offer them at best use of the pool and a seat at the bar - who said anything about sunbeds anyway? Yes you can use our pool while you have a drink/lunch - and here is a lovely seat at the pool bar/snack bar for you. Sorted.

Also staying off topic, those of us who live here and don't have pools also use hotel pools. I've always been made very welcome, sometimes the places are deserted outside of main tourist weeks and they're glad of my few lire.
If I arrived and it was crowded I wouldn't dream of taking up a sun lounger that a resident might need though and would go somewhere else.

I don't doubt it but not everyone is as considerate as you. I've known families ask if they can use a hotel's pool and are warmly welcomed in. They buy a couple of drinks and maybe a snack. It was such a nice pool that they come again the next day - with a cool box full of sandwiches and cold drinks.

And with numerous members of their extended family no doubt. (wink)

Yeah agree with you, thats annoying. We went to Malhun hotel today but the beds were almost full and didnt want to stop actual hotel guests using them so we went to Letoon hotel instead and used there's, it was full of english people and from what i could gather none actually stayed there at all, just used the bar and restaurant haha!  :)

Yes there are a few winkers on CBF, but the majority are really nice.  ;)
